Then Uma Bharti formed the Bharatiya Janshakti Party and also contested the elections. When the BJP returned, it was out of active politics of Madhya Pradesh and remained in Uttar Pradesh. She was also a minister at the center, but did not get ticket for the Lok Sabha elections in 2019 and is not in any post now.
