Voting in the fourth phase of UP LIVE: 22.62% voting till 11 am; Someone put faviquick in an EVM in Lakhimpur, on pressing every button at a booth, a lotus slip came out

In the fourth phase of the UP Legislative Assembly, voting is going on in 59 seats in 9 districts today. There has been 22.62% voting till 11 am. Of these, the maximum 27.43% votes have been cast in Pilibhit. Lakhimpur Kheri is second with 26.29%. However, two major complaints have been received in Lakhimpur itself. At booth number 109 of Kadipursani village here, mischievous elements put faviquick in EVMs. The SP candidate alleges that his party's button was pasted. Voting here has been stopped after the ruckus.

During the mock poll at booth number 85 of Lakhimpur itself, the lotus slip was coming out on pressing any button. Polling was disrupted for two hours due to this. After the matter came to light, the officials reached the spot and gave new EVM machines. After this the voting could be resumed at 8:55 am

In many assemblies of Unnao, people have boycotted voting due to lack of basic facilities like electricity and water. In Maljha, Mirzapur, Ajigaon and Paigambarpur villages, people are not going to cast their votes. Due to this the voting did not start even after 5 hours.

Some women voters have accused of being stopped from voting at the Sangampur polling station of Naraini in Banda district. He says that he was stopped by the presiding officer saying that men would vote first.
