Talk of equality: When the girls who won the gold medal cried, then what would be the status of the common girls?

She was the first Indian girl to win gold medal for India in Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. She was the only girl who won medals for India in more than a dozen international championships.

She was the first Indian sportsperson to be nominated for the Laureus World Sport Award. The Government of India honored him with Major Dhyan Chand Khelratna Award, Arjuna Award and Padma Shri.

Even after so many achievements, honor and respect, that girl was so vulnerable that a man could sexually exploit her just because of his position, social status and political clout. That girl was not alone, there were many girls like her.

The status of that man was such that he belonged to big political parties, repeatedly won elections and reached the Parliament, was the owner of tens of schools and colleges and property worth crores and was so domineering that the gun was fired at the SP in the SP's office. Could have stretched

We are talking about wrestler Vinesh Phogat and MP Braj Bhushan Singh. There is no need to tell more details of this matter, except that more than 30 girls including Vinesh, Sakshi have accused this man of respect and influence of sexual exploitation.

This allegation is being heard today because not one, not two, many girls have come forward together. Everyone is speaking leaving behind fear, shame, hesitation and many male wrestler companions are also with them in this fight.

Imagine that such strong and powerful girls can become so weak and vulnerable in front of the power of men in our society, then what will be the status of ordinary girls.

This is not such a truth, which is hidden from anyone. This isn't even the first time. History is witness that how many times powerful men have taken undue advantage of their power with women and they remained silent due to the fear of being judged by the family, society, respect.

The society did not give them a place to speak, did not give them a chance to speak, did not give them the confidence to speak. They were not given enough security so that they could speak, and then one day the same society turns around and asks why it did not speak then. Why did you remain silent for so long?
