In Guwahati, Assam, a woman killed her husband and mother-in-law along with her lover, then cut their bodies into pieces and kept them in the fridge for three days. After this, the woman, her lover and a friend together took those pieces to Meghalaya and threw them in a ditch in Cherrapunji.

According to the reports, the incident happened last year i.e. August 2022. The police have arrested all the three accused. On Monday, the police revealed the matter.

Reached the police station to complain about the missing after the murder, Guwahati Police Commissioner Diganta Barah said that the deceased have been identified as Amarendra Dey (husband of the accused woman) and Shankari Dey (mother-in-law of the woman). While the accused woman Bandana Kalita, her lover Dhanjit Deka and friend Arup Das have been arrested.


Police said that the murder was committed 7 months back. At that time, the woman had lodged a complaint regarding the disappearance of her husband and mother-in-law, after which the investigation was started. A few days later, Amarendra's cousin also lodged a report in the same police station, due to which the police suspected the wife.

Police bid – pieces of dead bodies were thrown in two separate ditches in Meghalaya

Police said that these people had dumped the pieces in two different ditches in Cherrapunji, Meghalaya. Some pieces of mother-in-law's body have been recovered from Meghalaya. The investigation of the rest of the evidence is also going on. All the three accused are being interrogated.
