Vegetarian Gopikrishna ate non-veg while watching Madhubala: Not Dilip Kumar, father was ready to get married Kamal Amrohi

I knew that Madhubala was in love with someone else, but still I want to admit that I fell madly in love with her. No one could be blamed for this, because I have never seen a woman more beautiful than her.

This was written by Shammi Kapoor in his biography 'Shammi Kapoor the Game Changer' for the 'Venus of the Screen' Madhubala. Such was the magic of Madhubala's beauty that Shammi Kapoor could not stop himself from loving her. The beauty of Madhubala was such that once her dance teacher, who was a pure vegetarian, had eaten non-veg for breakfast on seeing her.

Madhubala had millions of fans, but unfortunately it should be said that she never got the support of whoever she wanted. Her father was not ready to get her married to Dilip Kumar, but was ready to get her married to Kamal Amrohi.

After several heartbreaks, Madhubala married Kishore Kumar, but when she fell ill at the last moment, he too turned away from her. At the age of just 36, on 23 February 1969, Madhubala said goodbye to the world.

Today, on Madhubala's 54th death anniversary, read about her four incomplete love stories, a failed marriage and film struggles…

Madhubala was called 'Venus of the Screen' of Hindi cinema.
