In the Women's Premier League (WPL), Delhi Capitals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets. Batting first after losing the toss at DY Patil Stadium, Bengaluru scored 150 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Delhi achieved the target in 19.4 overs.
Delhi needed 9 runs in the last over. Jess Jonassen took a single off the first ball and Marion Kapp on the second ball. Then Jonassen made the team win by hitting a six on the third ball and a four on the fourth. Ellyse Perry from Bengaluru scored an unbeaten 67 in the first innings, while Shikha Pandey from Delhi took 3 wickets.
This is RCB's fifth defeat in the tournament and second against Delhi Capitals. The team has not won a single match in the tournament so far. Mumbai, UP and Gujarat have also defeated him once each.
