12th pass cheated hundreds in the name of getting married: By creating matrimonial site, they were cheating, on the complaint of the laborer, the call center was sealed; 11 mobile phones and 70 sims recovered

The Cyber Crime Police in Ludhiana has uncovered a fraud. According to the police, only a 12th pass boy was running a fake call center here and used to cheat people in the name of getting married. He had also created a fake matrimonial site. Acting on the complaint of a laborer, the police has now cracked down on the fraud. His call center has been sealed and he has been arrested. Along with this, 11 mobile phones and 70 SIM cards have also been recovered. Inquiries are being made that from where did he get this idea and how did he set up the entire network.

Sub-Inspector Jatinder Singh said that a person called him and complained about the pretext of getting married. He was told that the meeting would be fixed with his lady, but for this 10 thousand rupees would have to be paid. He deposited Rs 3500 in his account and after that the number itself got closed. When the police started investigation on this complaint, he reached Lalit, who lives in the civil line. When the police arrested him and interrogated him, the whole forgery came to know. A call center was built by him in a building in Kailash Chowk, from where the police have recovered 70 mobile sims and 11 mobile phones.

Used to take number from newspaper advertisement, fake website was made

Lalit is a BA first year student and is very smart. He used to take the numbers of people who wanted to get married through matrimonial advertisements in the newspapers. Later, the girl used to call him from the center and collect information related to marriage from him. After this, he was asked to give 10 thousand rupees to find a partner and the number was closed after taking the money. These people used to call their office Chandigarh on the phone. He had also made a website called Shaadi Rishtey and used to give the promise of registration on it.

I myself used to date on matrimonial site, the idea came from there

A police officer said that he had created his account on the matrimonial site and there he used to chat with women seeking marriage. For this, when money was asked from him, the idea came in his mind that he could earn money from it and he also made a fake website. But he chose the customers only from the newspapers. Through this, he has so far siphoned off lakhs of rupees from about a hundred people.

There will be other revelations in interrogation, police in search of comrades

According to the investigating officer of the case, Sub Inspector Jatinder Singh, a criminal case has been registered against him. We are gathering complete information regarding this. Creating this network is not a matter of its own, we are inquiring about it and hope that some other people can also get their hands on them. We are also trying to trace those girls who called from its call center, as they are also partners in its crime.
