Before the start of the 15th season of IPL, big news is coming out for the fans. Tournament matches can be played behind closed doors without spectators. Earlier, there was talk of starting the tournament with the permission of 25% fans, but the Maharashtra government can withdraw this permission in the coming days.
In fact, the central government has warned the Maharashtra government about the new threat of Kovid-19 in the state, which may also affect the IPL. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope told ANI- We have received a letter from the central government to be alert. Cases of Kovid-19 have increased in European countries, South Korea and China. Keeping this in mind, the Health Department had issued a letter asking them to be alert and take necessary steps. However, we do not want to comment on the IPL match right now.
First 25% fans got entry
The Maharashtra government, in a meeting with the BCCI, had decided to allow 25% of the spectators in the matches to be held till April 15. The decision regarding the matches to be held after April 15 was not taken in the meeting.
70 matches of the league will be played in Maharashtra
All 70 matches of the league stage will be played in Maharashtra. 55 matches will be held in Mumbai and 15 in Pune. 20 matches will be played at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium and Dr. DY Patil Stadium, while 15 matches will be played at Brabourne Stadium. The remaining 15 matches will be held at the MCA International Stadium in Pune.
There are reports of the playoff and the final match being held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, but the BCCI has not yet issued an official statement. The final of the tournament will be played on 29th May.
Two new IPL teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans teams will start their campaign from March 28. On this day, the match between these two teams will be played at Wankhede itself.
