Kejriwal will be an alternative to Congress: To win in 4 states, veteran leaders have been given 24-hour duty, IIT professor given the responsibility of breaking BJP's stronghold

Aam Aadmi Party's historic victory in Punjab has not completed even two weeks and the party has also prepared a master plan for the upcoming assembly elections. AAP has appointed election in-charges in 6 states. These in-charges are involved in the propaganda mission of the party. Minister Satyendar Jain in Delhi government is camping in Himachal, while minister Gopal Rai is taking out a Vijay Yatra in Chhattisgarh. IIT Professor Sandeep Pathak, who emerged as a skilled strategist in the Punjab elections, has now been given the task of breaking the BJP stronghold Gujarat. On the other hand, Saurabh Bhardwaj is building the party afresh in Haryana. The Aam Aadmi Party aims to replace the Congress in the states where there is a direct opposition to the BJP.

Focus is not Lok Sabha 2024, but state assembly elections

Sources in the Aam Aadmi Party say that the party wants to capitalize on the victory of Punjab in the upcoming assembly elections. AAP's target is to live in those states where there is a direct contest between Congress and BJP. The party is pushing through this strategy in Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. At the same time, the neighboring states of Punjab, Himachal and Haryana are also trying to spread the party on the basis of the victory of Punjab. Sources say that the target is not Lok Sabha 2024, but the party is currently focusing on preparing its cadre in the states through the assembly elections.

'Party will not hesitate to include Congress leaders'

Aam Aadmi Party's national spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj told Dainik Bhaskar, "For the assembly elections of Gujarat and Himachal, preparations have started from a new level in the organization. Our focus will be on such states where we can become an alternative to Congress. The Congress party is on the verge of extinction and many Congress leaders, workers want to join the Aam Aadmi Party. In such a situation, we will get more mileage in those states where there is a direct contest between BJP and Congress. The leaders who have been given the charge of the party will have the responsibility to run the membership campaign for the party and work on increasing the base of the party. In the neighboring states of Punjab, a good atmosphere seems to be building for the Aam Aadmi Party.

The tenure of the current BJP government in Gujarat is ending on 18 February 2023. In such a situation, there is a possibility that the assembly elections in Gujarat can be held in November or December this year. In Gujarat, the Aam Aadmi Party has contested one assembly election and the organization of the party is active at the grassroots level. In the municipal elections held in Gujarat on October 2021, the Aam Aadmi Party has deposited its coin by replacing the Congress. AAP got 28% votes in Gandhinagar and 28% in Surat. In Surat Municipal Corporation, 27 counselors of AAP also came after winning.

It is clear that the Aam Aadmi Party is looking to replace the Congress in the cities of Gujarat, but the real challenge of the party will be to reach every village. Experts who understand Gujarat's politics say that AAP will have to work on organization in Gujarat and at the same time the party will have to prepare local faces of Gujarat.
