Punjab Result LIVE: Kejriwal's Delhi Model Approved, Voters Dust Chani; Captain too out

By crossing the border of Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party has waved its flag in Punjab too. The voters of the state have stamped Kejriwal's Delhi model. AAP has not only emerged as the single largest party in Punjab, but also seems to be far ahead of the majority figure. Now it is almost certain that Bhagwant Mann will become the CM.

The interesting thing is that there is a contest between the Congress and the Akali Dal for the second number, but both together do not seem to reach even a quarter of the AAP. At the same time, the BJP has also longed to touch the double digit. Current CM Channi, Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu and former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh have also not been able to show any miracle. Check out the latest trends here...

5% less voting than last election

This time the voting in Punjab has come down by about 5% to 71.95% as compared to 77.20% in 2017. Talking about the last 5 elections, the voting may have been more or less, but the majority is definitely available. Malwa region is considered to be the most important role in forming the government in Punjab. This is because Malwa alone has 69 assembly seats. In the 2017 elections, the Congress had won 40 seats here. In 2012, the Akali Dal won 33 seats from Malwa, when their government was formed.
