Share Market LIVE: Sensex breaks more than 1,700 points amid Russia-Ukraine war

There is a huge decline in the stock market on the first trading day of the week i.e. Monday. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex lost 1,161 points to open at 53,172. After this, it has come down by 1,708 points to 52,625 at 10.20 am. There is a tremendous beating of banking stocks. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 29 are down. On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange is trading down 459 points at 15,785.



Big drop on Friday

Earlier, there was a huge fall in the stock market on Friday as well. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex fell 366 points (0.66%) to 55,102 and the National Stock Exchange's Nifty lost 108 points (0.55%) to close at 16,498.

Due to the Russo-Ukraine war, the price of crude oil has been recording a steady rise. In the early morning hours of Monday, March 7, 2022, the price of Brent crude crossed $130 in the global market. Before this, crude oil first touched the figure of $ 128 in 2008.

There is a great rally in gold today. Today at 10 am in the futures market (MCX), gold is trading with an increase of Rs 991 at Rs 53,550 per 10 grams. At the same time, silver has also reached Rs 1,679 to Rs 70,965 per kg.
