Suicide bomb attack during Friday prayers in Peshawar, Pakistan; 30 killed, more than 50 injured

Around 30 worshipers were killed in a suicide bomb attack during Friday prayers in Peshawar, Pakistan. At the same time, more than 50 people have been injured. The blast took place at a mosque in Kisa Khwani Bazaar in Peshawar's Kocha Risaldar area.

According to Peshawar police, two assailants tried to enter the mosque in the city's Qissa Khwani market and opened fire on the policemen standing there. One policeman has died in this while another policeman was seriously injured. After the attack, there was a blast in the mosque.



The rescue team is taking the injured to Lady Reading Hospital here. Local people also carried the injured in their motorcycles and cars to the hospital. Police and security teams have cordoned off the area. A spokeswoman for Lady Reading Hospital said 10 of the injured were still in critical condition.

Islamabad High Court's direction to the Pak government on Kulbhushan Jadhav case; Give India a chance to appoint a lawyer



Pakistan has urged India to appoint a lawyer to represent Kulbhushan Jadhav. The Islamabad High Court has directed the Pakistan government to give one more chance to India to appoint a lawyer to appeal against the death sentence of Kulbhushan Jadhav.


The court has given time till April 13 to appoint a lawyer. These directions have been given so that the matter related to the review of the sentence awarded to him can be debated.


Kulbhushan Jadhav, 49, a retired Navy officer, was arrested on March 3, 2016, which was informed to India on March 24. He was sentenced to death by a military court in Pakistan in April 2017.
