UP Elections: 54 percent voting in the sixth phase, know how much voting happened in which district, what happened in Yogi's seat?

The sixth phase of polling was held in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Balrampur, Ambedkar Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Deoria and Ballia districts were included in this phase. Voting was held for 57 seats in these ten districts.

In the sixth phase, voting was held on Thursday for 57 seats in 10 districts. 54.24 per cent voters exercised their franchise in this phase. However, the final figures are yet to come. The districts where voting took place included Balrampur, Ambedkar Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Deoria and Ballia. In 2017, a total of 56.64 per cent votes were cast in these seats.


What happened in the chief minister's seat?

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is in the fray from Gorakhpur city seat. 51.00 percent voting took place in this seat till 5 pm. In the 2017 assembly elections, 50.98 per cent voter turnout was recorded in this seat. That is, till five o'clock in the evening, more voting was done than last time. The voting percentage may increase further when the final figures come.


How much voting in which district?

The highest voting took place in Akbarpur district. 62.22 percent of the voters here exercised their franchise. Maharajganj, Basti and Kushinagar were also included in the highest voting districts. More than 55 percent people cast their votes in these districts. Balrampur and Siddharthnagar districts recorded the least voting. The polling percentage in both the districts was less than 50 per cent. In Balrampur only 48.64 per cent voting took place and in Siddharthnagar district 49.83 per cent voting took place.
