The country's largest drone festival is being organized at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the India Drone Festival 2022. During this, the PM said that the previous governments created fear among the people about technology, today this technology is becoming the support of lakhs of poor.
The Drone Festival will be held from May 27 to 28. Before the inauguration, the Prime Minister interacted with the farmer drone operators. PM Modi digitally launched 150 Drone Pilot Certificates.
Government officials, foreign diplomats, representatives of armed forces, central armed police forces are participating in the festival. In addition, more than 1600 representatives of government, private companies and drone startups are also participating. According to information received from the PMO, the Prime Minister will see the drone demonstration in the open and interact with drone companies and startups. The Prime Minister will be seen flying drones during the festival.
Drone industry will provide 5 lakh jobs

Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the era of drones has arrived in India. If a drone can be of use to the security forces, then it will prove useful for the farmers as well. The drone industry is estimated to have a turnover of Rs 15,000 crore by 2026. There are 270 drone startups operating in the country today. In the coming 5 years, 5 lakh employment opportunities will also be created in the drone industry.

More than 70 ways to use drones will be shown in the exhibition. It will also showcase a Made in India drone taxi prototype. There will also be a product launch during the festival.
