The tunnel has been dug crookedly by going 25 feet below the mouth. The mouth of the tunnel is found in reeds and small mounds, but the surprising thing is that there are BSF mounts on both sides of this mound, where soldiers are deployed day and night. 100 meters on this side of the tarbandi, while on the other side this tunnel is 50 meters long, whose second mouth is found in the forest area. The tunnel appears to have been dug only a few days ago. The team involved in the investigation has dug with machines, due to which the tunnel is being thoroughly examined from inside.
There was no evidence of infiltration, Amarnath Yatra was a target: BSF

Sand bags were placed to strengthen the mouth of the tunnel. The bags found in the earlier discovered tunnels had the seal of Pakistan and the mark of the address. This time 21 bags have been found, on which there is no mark. According to IG BSF, since 2012 till date, BSF has discovered 11 tunnels. Due to the tight vigil on the border, Pakistan keeps trying to infiltrate through tunnels. He said that even before the Prime Minister's visit to Jammu, inputs regarding terrorist infiltration conspiracy were being received, for which extra vigilance was taken.
Excavated by JCB, reed being uprooted by tractor
A JCB machine has been installed to thoroughly excavate the tunnel, while three tractors have been installed to remove the reeds (tall grass) across the wireband. An official said that the bushes and reeds have been cleared in the past in front of the tarbandi.
