LIVEBhaskar Updates: Fire breaks out in Delhi's 4-storey residential building, rescue of trapped people continues

A massive fire broke out in Delhi's New Ashok Nagar area on Tuesday. There is a fire in the 4-storey building, in which many people are said to be trapped. Three vehicles of fire brigade are reaching the spot and dousing the fire. Efforts are on to rescue the trapped people from the wooden stairs outside the building.




Engine failure of two GoAir flights, both were diverted



Two GoAir flights have reported malfunctioning on Tuesday. One of these A320 flights was going from Mumbai to Leh. Its engine has been reported to be faulty. The second flight VT-WG G8-6202 took off from Srinagar to Delhi. Both these flights have been returned to Srinagar and Delhi.


The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) gave this information. He said that we are probing the matter. Earlier on July 5, a GoAir flight from Delhi to Patna was returned to Delhi due to a technical snag.


Pakistani wanted to kill Nupur Sharma, arrested from Rajasthan



A joint team of Intelligence Agency (IB) and BSF has arrested a Pakistani national from Sriganganagar in Rajasthan. According to the news agency, he has tried to enter India through the International Border for the purpose of allegedly killing Nupur Sharma. The arrested accused has been identified as Rizwan Ashraf, 24, of Mandi Bahauddin town located in northern Punjab, Pakistan.


A senior BSF officer said that the accused was apprehended near Hindumalkot border post around 11 pm on July 16. The patrolling team found him in suspicious condition. The BSF recovered an 11-inch long knife, some religious books, clothes, food and sand from his possession.
