Why are BSF jawans shooting their own comrades: harsh punishment for a slight mistake, two shifts in 24 hours, promotion takes 20 years

On 6 March this year, a jawan opened fire on four of his comrades at the headquarters of the 144 battalion of BSF in Amritsar. All four had died. Later, during the treatment, the soldier who fired the bullet did not survive. He was mentally ill.

Now the Court of Inquiry of BSF has ordered departmental action against five officers and one person. This incident is just a hallmark of BSF. How bad the ground situation is, you can guess from this that in the last 10 years, 1205 jawans of Central Armed Police Forces, ie CAPF (which includes BSF) have committed suicide.

Two months ago, on May 21, Bhaskar had reached the India-Pakistan border and we tried to understand the life of BSF jawans very closely. Republishing that report today.

Report of 21 May 2022…

Location: India-Pakistan border

Post : Border Point 000

We have not left these three zeros by mistake, deliberately not writing the correct number. The soldiers have refused, so as not to be recognized. 40 BSF personnel are stationed here.

Sharing the first two truths on the pretext of this…

First: Between 2016 and 2020, i.e. in 4 years, 20,249 Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have taken voluntary retirement and 1,708 have rejoined.

Second: In the last 10 years, 1,205 personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces, ie CAPF (which includes BSF), have committed suicide.

These things scare me. We sing their songs, then why is this happening? Its innermost layers are attached to the jaws. That's why we went to him. Now telling you the story of border number 000 to four times…

Story 1: It is 4.30 in the morning, the soldiers are waiting for their turn in front of the toilet

I am in BSF camp. The jawans who have to go on duty in the 6 o'clock in the morning have got up. The toilet is common, so everyone is standing in a queue waiting for their turn. Can't show photos of the situation they are in. Taking photos is also forbidden. Understand it from this painting made by Bhaskar's artist Gautam Chakraborty…
