What is the whole matter of land for job scam
On August 24, the CBI raided the RJD leaders in connection with the land for job scam. The strings of this scam are related to RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav.
In the Land for Job scam, Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members are accused of taking land in exchange for getting a job in the Railways. In this case, the CBI had registered a new corruption case against Lalu and his family members in May this year.
In May, apart from Lalu, the CBI, including his wife Rabri Devi, two daughters Misa Bharti and Seema Yadav, had raided 17 places of Lalu's close and family members, in which Lalu's daughter Misa Bharti was also raided.
The CBI in May this year made 16 people accused, including Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife and former CM Rabri Devi, his daughters Misa Yadav and Hema Yadav, besides some ineligible candidates who gave land at low cost in return for getting jobs. An FIR was registered against him.

7 plots were taken from 12 people in exchange for jobs
In the case registered against Lalu, the CBI has alleged that during his tenure as Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009 during the UPA government, Lalu Prasad Yadav had taken plots of land from him as a bribe in the name of getting a job in the Railways.
During this, Lalu is accused of taking financial benefits by getting 7 plots of land transferred in the name of his family members in lieu of recruitment of 12 people on Group D posts in several zones of the Railways. These 7 plots of land belong to those 12 people who got jobs in Railways.

job given without advertisement
The CBI found in its investigation that Lalu Yadav, while being the Railway Minister, had given Group-D jobs to many people in the Railways without any advertisement. These people were posted in Indian Railways at Mumbai, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Jaipur and Hajipur.
Grabbed more than 1 lakh square feet of land
According to the CBI, in this manner, Lalu Yadav's family acquired more than 1 lakh square feet of land in Bihar for just Rs 26 lakh, while the value of the land as per the circle rate of that time was around Rs 4.39 crore. The ED, in its investigation, found that undue haste was shown in some of the applications of the candidates and surprisingly their appointment was cleared within 3 days from the date of receipt of the respective applications. The CBI, in its initial investigation, found that on 6 February 2008, Kishun Dev Rai of Patna transferred his land to Rabri Devi at a very low cost. Kiran Devi, a resident of Patna, sold her 80,905 square feet of land to Lalu Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti in November 2007 for just Rs 3.70 lakh. After this, in 2008, Kiran Devi's son Abhishek Kumar got a job in Central Railway Mumbai.
Deal 4:
In February 2007, Hazari Rai, a resident of Patna, sold his 9,527 square feet of land to Delhi-based company AK Infosystem Pvt Ltd for Rs 10.83 lakh. Later, Hazari Rai's two nephews Dilchand Kumar and Prem Chand Kumar got jobs in West-Central Railway Jabalpur and South-Eastern Railway Kolkata.
The CBI found that all rights and assets of AK Infosystems were given to Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter and wife in 2014. Rabri Devi bought most of the shares of the company in 2014 and later became the director of the company.
