Earlier there was a place in Bengal, Chittagong is now in Bangladesh. Then the country was ruled by the British and there was a European club, outside it it was written - 'Dogs and Indians not allowed', that is, there is no entry of dogs and Indians.
The revolutionaries were shocked by this. Master Da burnt that European club down. Prior to that, Master Da and Pritilata had robbed the Assam-Bengal Treasury Office by snubbing the British. It's called Armory Raid.
That's why we are free to read the story of bravery and martyrdom of Master Da and Pritilata in the 12th episode...
When I reached this historic club, everything was deserted here. A statue of Pritilata Vaddar is installed outside the club. Along with the statue, the story of his confrontation with the British has also been carved on the stone.
There is a statue of Pritilata Waddedar outside the European Club. The statue is made of bronze and was installed in October 2012.

This is the same 21-year-old girl who, along with her comrades, attacked this Chittagong club on the night of 23 September 1932 and set it on fire. When she thought that she would be caught by the British, she took her life by swallowing cyanide.
Now this club has become the office of the railway
This historic European club is now the office of the Divisional Officer of the Railways. Planning for its renovation is also going on. However, the local people are opposing it. People feel that this will destroy the identity of the club.
Nowadays new generation people come to see this club. Here they take photo-videos and narrate the tales of the bravery of Pritilata to their children. However, Jehangir Alam, who set up a shop near the club, does not know much about Pritilata.

Next we will read the story of the burning of the European Club, but before that let's know about Master Da and the Chittagong Armory Raid...
Master da used to teach mathematics, left his job when he joined the movement
Surya Sen, who was a teacher by profession, was called by most of the people as Master Da. Master Surya Sen, the hero of the Chittagong Armory Raid of 1930, gave a direct challenge to the British government. According to Bipin Chandra's book India's Struggle for Independence, he along with his colleagues formed the Indian Republican Army (IRA) in 1930.
After completing his studies, Master Da was teaching mathematics in a school in the Nandan Kanan area of Chittagong in 1918. This is where he got the name Master Da. He also left this job to be involved in revolutionary activities. Master Da had become a member of the Yugantar group, the largest revolutionary organization in the area, when he was graduating.
While teaching in the school, he organized the youth of the area. These people decided to fight the guerrilla war with the British and on 23 December 1923 robbed the Assam-Bengal Treasury Office and openly challenged the British. After this the British started looking for Surya Sen, but he kept dodging.
