Suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh was arrested again on Thursday for his remarks against Prophet Muhammad. Earlier, he was arrested on August 23 in the same case. However, in the evening the local court had granted him bail.
According to media reports, Telangana Police has arrested Raja Singh in cases registered under 41 (A) CrPC at two different police stations. These cases were registered in February and April 2022.
At the same time, Hyderabad Police said that BJP MLA Raja has been detained under the PD Act (Preventive Detention). Records show that out of 101 criminal cases registered against him, he is involved in 18 communal offences. Mangalhat police said that Raja may be sent to Cheriyapalli Central Jail.
Under the PD Act, only those people who are suspicious or have a criminal record and they endanger the security of the society and the country.
At the same time, the influencer Syed Abduhu Kashaf, who raised the slogan 'Sir Tan Se Juda' amidst the crowd protesting against Raja's arrest, was also arrested by the police in the evening. However, he got bail only an hour after his arrest.
Raja Singh had released the video before his arrest
Raja had posted a video on social media before his arrest on Thursday. It said – I can be arrested today or tomorrow. All I would like to say is that if anyone says bad about my country, my religion, then I will answer him in his own language, whatever the punishment may be, now Hindus are not going to back down. I hope that every Hindu will support me in this crusade.

Two days ago, the court had released him on bail.
On August 23, the police produced Raja in the Nampally court after his arrest. The court first ordered him to be sent to judicial custody for 14 days, but later withdrew the order and gave him bail, warning the king. On the other hand, the BJP had issued a show cause notice to Raja, suspending him. 14 days have been given to reply.
The protesters compared T Raja's statement with that of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Protests continue in Hyderabad against Raja.
Protest against Raja continues for third day
Protests have been taking place in Hyderabad since August 23 after Raja's statement. The protesters are demanding Raja's arrest. At the time of his arrest, a crowd of supporters gathered outside Raja's house. The crowd raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
