The accused youth, Sunny, who made viral videos of more than 60 girl students studying in Chandigarh University (CU), Mohali, has been arrested by Himachal Police from Shimla. Earlier, Punjab Police had arrested the girl who made the video. Both the accused are residents of Rohru in Shimla and know each other for a long time.
Himachal Police DGP Sanjay Kundu said that the youth has been arrested. He will be handed over to Punjab Police tonight itself. Here, angry with the attitude of the university administration and the police in the matter, hundreds of CU students again demonstrated on the campus. The students surrounded the dean's office. They allege that the university administration and the police are suppressing the matter.
However, late in the evening, the students called off the protest after arrogance. Top officials of Mohali Police and University Authority reached the spot to convince the students.
