Dog bitten by child in lift in Ghaziabad: Child groaning in pain, woman standing silently; CCTV footage surfaced

A pet dog bites a child in the lift of a society in Ghaziabad. The child kept crying in the lift, moaning in pain, but the dog's mistress stood watching silently. After this incident in Rajnagar Extension, the police has registered an FIR. The residents of the society said that the transport of pet dogs in the lift should be stopped.

The incident took place in the lift of Charms Castle Society of Rajnagar Extension at around 6 pm on Monday. 9 year old boy studies in class 4. He had returned home after studying tuition. While going from the lift to the flat, a woman took her pet dog and entered the lift. To escape from the dog, the child comes towards the gate in the lift. During this, the dog bit him on his thigh.

A dog bite causes such severe pain to the child that he cannot even keep his foot on the ground. During this, the woman stands silently watching. He did not make any effort to talk to the child or to explain it to him. As the woman exits the lift on her floor, the dog once more tries to bite the child, but this time the child survives.

It is seen in the CCTV of the lift that the dog bit the child and yet his mistress stood silently.

The child's mother Jayankara Rao has filed a case against the unidentified woman. Rao said, "When I was standing on the ground floor, the son came and told me the whole incident. At that time the woman was taking her dog to the bathroom in the basement.


On being asked, the woman neither gave her name nor flat number. Later on knowing from the security guard it came to know that this woman lives in B-506 Charms Castle.
