My house falls in Gumla district of Jharkhand. I reached Seema Patra's house through my maternal grandmother. Staying in his house, started broom-mopping, utensils and slowly cooking. Till three years ago, she lived with her daughter in Vasant Kunj in Delhi. Then came Ranchi. This is where Madam's behavior changed.
Did you get paid for work?
She used to tell me that your salary has been deposited in the bank account. I have never seen passbook. Don't know whether she used to put money in the account or not. My Aadhar card and bank passbook were near Seema. I used to tell them that if I have to go to relatives' place for some days, I would not let them go. They used to say that they will throw you by hitting them, keep your mouth shut.
Never tried to run away from home?
For a year it was not possible to get out of the house. He was imprisoned in the house like a prison. Tried to run away twice, but they got to know. After that I was beaten up a lot. Kept in a dark room for several days. She was not even allowed to eat food properly.
For what reason did you kill?
Till I could walk, I used to do broom-wipes, utensils, food. Worked full time in Delhi also. After coming to Ranchi, they started beating so much that my condition started deteriorating. Sometimes she would kick her on the waist, sometimes she would kill her by throwing utensils. Because of the beating, my legs stopped working. I was handicapped.
I can't walk. She could crawl. To walk, one had to take the support of a cupboard, wall, table. If I touched something, I used to hit hard on my hand. Used to say that the goods are valuable, don't touch it. Many times I got beaten up for this only thing.
She used to kill by throwing kitchen items, rolling pin, tawa, kadhai, frying pan. If I used to beat it with a hot pan, I would put my hand forward to escape. (Showing hands) These many black marks are visible, all of them are of burning from the pan. No matter how much they killed, their hands did not get tired.
