After removing the BJP from power in Bihar, Nitish Kumar has started preparing for Mission 2024. In this episode, on Monday, he reached Delhi on a three-day tour. On the first day itself, he met 5 big leaders of the opposition. These include Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, former Karnataka CM and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy, CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar.
Apart from this, Nitish's meeting is also proposed with the leaders of Mamata Banerjee's party Trinamool Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) and Odisha CM Biju Janata Dal. In political circles, Nitish's visit to Delhi is being seen as an attempt to unite the opposition parties. Since breaking the alliance with the BJP in Bihar, Nitish has been constantly in touch with the opposition leaders.
If Nitish's efforts are successful, all regional parties along with the Congress may come together against the BJP before the 2024 elections. This is not the first time that Nitish is trying to form a grand alliance. In 2015 also he tried, but then he could not succeed. How will Nitish's visit to Delhi affect the 2024 elections? Know in detail...
Preparation for direct battle on more than 500 seats, siege from south to north
If Nitish's visit to Delhi is successful and all the parties are united, then there will be a direct fight with the BJP on more than 500 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. All the parties with whom Nitish is contacting are effective from South to North India.
More focus on rural area, if the strategy is successful, it is possible to harm BJP
There are a total of 353 Lok Sabha seats in the country's rural areas, in which BJP won 207 seats in 2019. At the same time, 126 seats went to the account of Congress and others. According to sources, the entire focus of Nitish and the alliance is on these rural areas. Here the BJP was the weakest compared to 2014 and 2009.
In 2009, the BJP had won only 77 seats in rural areas. Which increased to 190 in 2014 and to 207 in 2019. On the other hand, if we talk about semi urban, BJP got 20 seats here in 2009, while it increased to 53 in 2014 and 58 in 2019.
Talking about Highly Urban Area, BJP had 20 seats here in 2009, which reached 40-40 seats in 2014 and 2019.
Come, the leaders who met Nitish know about the impact of his parties one by one...
1. Rahul Gandhi- Nitish Kumar first met Rahul Gandhi. Rahul is the former president of Congress and in the elections to be held this month, he is almost certain to become the party president again. Congress is currently the largest party in the Lok Sabha. In 2019, Congress won 52 seats, while the party came second in 210 seats. That is, a total of 262 seats are such, where the Congress was in direct competition with the BJP.
