Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky will be on a podium during next month's G20 summit. The summit will be held in Bali, Indonesia on November 15 and 16. This will be the first time since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in February that the heads of state of the two countries will be together and on the same platform.
US President Joe Biden will also attend the Bali Summit of the G20. It is believed that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi will also reach here. This is also likely because the next G20 summit is to be held in India in 2023.
Since February, many heads of state have tried to persuade Vladimir Putin to end the war. So far the efforts have proved unsuccessful.
Zelensky and Putin agree
The UAE website 'The National' published a special report on Friday. In this, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Hussein Bagis has been told that Putin and Zelensky will attend the G20 summit. Hussain was asked whether the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine would also attend the summit. To this his reply was – Yes, both these leaders are ready to come to Bali.
The website also contacted the foreign departments of both Russia and Ukraine, but there was no response from there. The White House said a few days ago that if Putin comes to the G20, then Zelensky should also be called.
US President Joe Biden also said on Thursday that if Putin comes to the G20 summit, he will definitely meet him. According to Hussain – special preparations are being made for the meeting of Putin and Biden.

Hussain further said- We are arranging separate hotels for Putin and Zelensky. Indonesia is different from other countries. In this country everything is accomplished with peace and harmony.
There are two guest nations in this summit. These are UAE and Ukraine. Both are not part of the G20. Hussain said- We have close relations with these two countries. So, we have invited them to attend the summit.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the United Nations last month that Russia's attack on Ukraine was in fact an attack on all of humanity.
Peace means peace agenda
In response to a question, Hussain said – If there is any biggest agenda of this G20 summit, then it is peace. Apart from this, we will also focus on health, digital transformation and energy. We don't want conflict, we want peace.
The war between Russia and Ukraine started on 24 February and continues till now. Last week, Russia annexed four Ukrainian states in the name of referendum. Indonesian President Joko Widodo also tried to bring Putin and Zelensky on one platform in June. Then he had failed. The food crisis and the civil war in Syria can also be discussed in this G20 summit.
