Tradition of bath-donation and Shradh
Puri's astrologer Dr. Ganesh Mishra says that the Navami of Ashwin Shukla Paksha is Manvadi Tithi. Explaining this, it is said that the date on which the creation begins after every cataclysm is called Manvadi Tithi. The Manvantara named Daksha started on this day. Therefore, taking a holy bath on this day washes away the sins committed unknowingly. Donating food, clothes and other things on the Navami of Navratri gives renewable virtue. There is also a tradition of performing Shradh on this date. The father is satisfied with this.
