India lost the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup again: Australia beat by 5 runs, team reached the final for the 7th time

The Indian team once again had to face a crushing defeat in the Women's T20 World Cup. With this defeat, India's dream of becoming champion for the first time remained incomplete. The Indian team was defeated by 5-time champions Australia by 5 runs.

Australia scored 172 runs after winning the toss and batting at the Newlands ground in Cape Town. Beth Mooney scored the highest innings of 54 runs from her side. Captain Meg Lanning scored 49 not out. Shikha Pandey took two wickets from India. Deepti Sharma and Radha Yadav got one wicket each. In reply, the Indian team could score only 167 runs in 20 overs. Captain Harmanpreet scored the highest 52 runs from his side. Jemimah Rodrigues got out after scoring 43 runs. There was a partnership of 69 runs between the two.

Second: Gardner made Mandhana LBW on the third ball of the third over.

Third: Yastika Bhatia was run out on the fourth ball of the fourth over.

Fourth: Jemima Rodriguez caught Healy on the second ball of the 11th over. He was dismissed by Brown.

Fifth: Harmanpreet was run out on the fourth ball of the 15th over.

Sixth: In an attempt to play a big shot, Richa caught McGrath on Brown's ball.

Seventh: Sneh Rana was bowled by Jess Jonassen.

Harmanpreet's half century

Indian captain Harmanpreet completed his 10th career half-century. He shared a 69-run partnership off 41 balls with Jemimah Rodríguez.
