Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has replied to the notice in the Lok Sabha for his unparliamentary remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rahul has justified his comment. He has presented a report in the Lok Sabha Secretariat citing different laws. Along with this, Rahul has also explained his statement in detail in several pages.
Explain that on February 7, during the discussion on the President's address in the Lok Sabha, Rahul had made a comment against PM Modi regarding the Hindenburg-Adani issue. Following this, BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey and Prahlad Joshi had issued a breach of privilege notice against him in the Lok Sabha Secretariat on February 10 over the use of unparliamentary and derogatory language. The Lok Sabha secretariat had asked Rahul to respond to the notice by February 15.
Three days ago, Rahul had said in Kerala – Whatever I said in the Parliament, I told the truth.
Rahul Gandhi addressed a gathering in Wayanad, Kerala last Monday (February 13). There he had expressed displeasure over the removal of some parts of his statement from the Lok Sabha. He said- It is important for everyone in this country to see the proceedings of the Parliament, to know what is happening in the country. It is important to understand the nexus between PM and Adani.
Rahul said- A few days ago I gave a speech in the Parliament about the relationship between our Prime Minister and Adani. I kept my point very polite and respectful. I didn't use any bad language, didn't abuse anyone, I just raised some facts.
Rahul said that PM considers himself very powerful. He thinks everyone will be scared of him, but he probably doesn't know that he will be the last person I fear. Whatever I said in the Parliament was true and hence there was no fear in my mind. Nothing will happen by insulting me. The truth will come to the fore.
